We provide a wide range of tree label options for botanical and educational identification, designed for long-term durability in professional environments.
Specialist Tree Label Fixings
For mature trees, we supply the specialist fixing systems developed at The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. These allow the tree to expand naturally without damaging the bark or the label and are easily adjustable over time.
- The Kew System: Comprising a smooth hardened steel nail and washer used in conjunction with a specially made conical phosphor bronze spring.
- Arborist Options: We also supply soft aluminium nails, which are often preferred by arborists and foresters for specific woodland management.

Labels for Young & Newly Planted Trees
For young and smaller trees, it is good practice to use non-invasive hanging methods to prevent damage to developing trunks.
- Hanging Labels: We recommend using a tying method for a proportionate label size, such as our 75mm x 50mm range.
- Plaques & Stems: For newly planted trees, we offer plaques, stems, or posts as a robust alternative to direct trunk mounting.
Materials and Sizes
Our most popular tree label size is 100mm x 75mm, providing ample space for botanical names and additional data.
- Available Materials: Choose from high-grade engineering laminate or tough anodised aluminium.
- Custom Design: We can manufacture other sizes and shapes to order to suit your specific project requirements.
Numbered Tree Tags and QR Codes
We manufacture numbered tree tags for inventory purposes and tree health surveys. For modern tree management, we can integrate QR codes and other coding systems, allowing handheld devices to link physical labels directly to tree management software.
